Walking in the rain.

It’ll be Potfest in the Pens in a few weeks. Each year they have a pot swap of some sort. This year it is tea bowls and Paul has decided to join in too, here he is making his first ever coil pot.

I might get him hooked on red mud still!

It’s been a pouring down with rain today, there’s nothing quite like a coastal walk in all your waterproof gear in weather like that. We went down the road to Auchencairn, only five or six miles away and did a great walk that we do regularly from Balcary Bay to Rascarrel along the cliffs and back through the forest. Great stuff. I love rain on the sea too, looks fabulous.

I had to get on Google Earth again to see how close you were to the coast. I didn’t realize you were less than 10 miles away. Wonder how difficult it is to immigrate to Scotland from the US? :-)

  2. I always think it’s amazing how just a hundred and fifty miles or so can make such a difference to the weather, turned out nice again here, sickening isn’t it Hannah!

Good on you Paul, well done!!!! Ron, as Craft Development Officer for Dumfries & Galloway, I would say the more the merrier – come on over!
