The rules of the game. . .

Number 1. Use only one colour of slip to decorate.
Number 2. Do not repeat a pattern exactly.
Number 3. Spend no more than five minutes on each dish (it was going to be three minutes but I chickened out.)
I had eighteen dishes to slip today, I had deliberately thrown them as simply and as quickly as I could, eight are about 10″ diameter, six about 8″ and four are about 10″ but with a wide rim. I thinned my white slip down quite a bit to make it more runny and give me a softer more fluid line and to make me be more loose with it. There is just a few of them down here, I’ll put more up tomorrow for you to see.

I did this wee birdie but then thought he was still a bit plain for my liking and had to add a bit of twiddly-ness.

This jug I tried to sgraffito quickly too, not quite five minutes but faster than I would usually and I used a loopy tool to do the drawing which is one I would ordinarily reserve for cutting away patches of slip. It’s a bit kind of odd but I’ll have another look tomorrow see if I like it.
