Sod It

This morning I sat looking out of the window at the sunshine and feeling bad because I hadn’t gotten to work yet. Eventually I thought Sod It! So I went out for a couple of hours on my bike to get a good dose of endorphins and vitamin D. I’m so glad I did. Wonderful. I must enjoy indulging in the sunshine more often.

Good for you, Hannah. It’s so important to re-connect with nature and have a break from the routine once in a while. I dragged myself out for a walk near Lancaster this weekend and it was so beautiful I didn’t want to go home!

Me too – well, not the bike, but a small energetic dog took me for a walk in my Forest. Wonderful, and the studio/workshop was a definite ‘sod it’

i was thinking of diversifying into Sodit firing (perceived, perhaps wrongly, as being less hazardousthan salt firing) but have decided to stik to raku firing – the sun needs to shine on raku potters, cuz the rain makes grey microcrackles on hot pots!-)
