It’s coming up to firing time so that makes it mug time! I always like to put mugs in the wood kiln and I like making lots of different ones.
This time I went for two shapes,
but lots of different ways of decorating.
It takes a wee while to get the head and the hand back into the swing of it but then by the time I got to the end of my 18 mugs I was wanting to carry on.
Amazing how much love you can put into a mug.
I love making mugs. I don’t want to ever not make pots that people can engage so closely with. They are so intimate. You cup them between your hands, you snuggle them, cradle them.
You put a mug to your lips, numerous times a day.
Mugs are a huge part of most peoples lives so why ever should I not make exceedingly special mugs?
