Lost

I think that’s what I am at the moment. Lost. I don’t know where I am or what I’m supposed to be doing, where I’m supposed to be going or how to get there, I don’t know the game let alone the rules and I’m utterly befuddled and bemused with it all. That’s all for today.

  1. I know the feeling, Hannah. This is the time of year when a lot of us feel that way. Make some noise, maybe we’ll all find each other in the fog.

I felt the same way up until yesterday Hannah. Getting back in the shop and making that run of plates helped me a lot. Of course I haven’t made it in there today at all because of other engagements. I guess we’ll find a firm footing soon.

Hannah, I’m also wondering if this has anything to do with the Hatfield selection that just happened. ?Give me a shout sometime if you want to.

Hannah, you don’t know me from Eve but I love to follow your blog and have picked up some great tips from you and your work. Im pretty new to clay, (but fairly long in the tooth!), and slip trailed my first plate a week ago thanks to you. It’s probably just the January blues, hope you are soon back to your chipper self.

  5. Oh how I wish we lived a bit nearer and I’d be right round at your place with a bottle of red wine and some good pottery books. We’d soon be talking pots and chilling out. As soon as you get a few pots on your shelves you’ll feel a lot better. You’ve been such a lot of encouragement this past year to the rest of us.

  7. Someone said to me recently that ‘It’s like happily walking along a tight rope, then suddenly looking down.’Just look up again and you’ll be ok – everyone is cheering for you at the other side, ’cause you’re brill!

Hey, keep yer pecker up – this is going to be a good year. I’ll try and catch you later on Skype. I feel mad this time of year, I’m losing the plot too at the moment, so you’re not alone – seems like a lot of us are in the same boat. Glad you turned to us. Sometimes evrything seems to be a solitary, uphill struggle, but you’re not alone. Catch you later I hope

You know, you could be losing your job in 10 days and find out that your coworkers can’t wait until you leave. That you have very few who are friends and they only use you for personal gain. You can’t balance your checkbook and your memory and ability to keeps the facts straight are waning. You are being kicked out of your house with no where to go because the world seems to hate you. You could be George W.Bush.

There is obviously a lot of support for you, your ability, your cheerful and thought provoking posts. The problem quite often with intelligent, talented people is we often question our actions and review our current status / achievements. Hopefully you can look at ALL the positives you have achieved, and these will outweigh the negatives. It helps to talk with pals & chums.

Hannah:thanks so much for expressing so clearly how I have been feeling since Christmas. I don’t know how to get out of this funk I’m in, so it’s comforting to read your words!
