Home sweet home.

Home again but I left Paul at the station in Carlisle on the way back so he could get the train over to Newcastle to work there tomorrow.
Potfest was the best ever Potfest for me, I sold a lot of pots and I’m really pleased with how my stand looked, the comments I received and the amount of pots that sold. It’s odd considering the fact that we are being told three dozen times a day that there is a recession upon us how I and many others at Potfest seemed to be selling lots more than usual. Odd for me too that mugs and small jugs weren’t the best sellers, the larger pieces were very much in demand which is great as they are my more individual pieces and give me much more scope for decoration and individuality.
The city piece caused a bit of confusion but I’ll tell you about that later. Anyway off for a sleep in a bed now, I like camping but it’s good to get my bed back.
Back into throwing tomorrow, I’ve a lot to do now in the next few weeks seeing as I brought back so many empty boxes. It’s a good problem to have though.

Welcome back Hannah and I am so glad to hear you had a good show. That’s great that the bigger more decorated pieces sold too. I think those pots are really grand and you do such an amazing job with them. Anyhow, I look forward to you posting this week.

  2. Good news about pot fest Hannah, shame I missed it but we have to be here just now, it does seem that people are buying the more one off pots at the moment no rime or reason? But I don’t think we should complain.

Recession? It’s a state of mind? Really glad to hear that PotFesters haven’t lost theirs and are buying. Then again, your work is beautiful and folks recognize that. Congrats!

  6. Congratulations, Hannah, great news. Maybe it is the US recession you are hearing about! I hear lots of potters complaining about no sales at shows here–though Ron said they had a good show recently–but most are not so lucky as I hear it. Do post pictures! Wish I could have been there to see the set-up.
