It feels like I’ve been away for weeks. I’m not sure yet what I feel about the trade show, it’s still sinking in I suppose. I took a couple of firm orders for work, a few possibilities for things that might come back in the future so that was all good. One order is from Andrew Appleby a potter on Orkney, he has ordered some large jugs and plates for his shop for the summer. I was a little disappointed at the amount of visitors to the show who actually stopped at my stand although lots of fellow exhibitors were very complimentary, in fact a number said they had bought my pots previously which was lovely. I was quite pleased with how my stand looked, very very different from having pots on clay covered shelves in the workshop!
I had an email today telling me I had been selected as part of the Northern Potters Association to have space on their stand to exhibit my work at Earth and Fire in Nottingham this year. I am really pleased about this if a little worried about the amount of work I need to make as I was their last year exhibiting and I think I will be good to be there a second year.
I’ve just enjoyed catching up on everyone elses blog entries, I think I’ve become an addict, I had withdrawal symptoms while I was away!
