Fruity Friday

Handles on the two medievally inspired jug things that I failed to out lips on. I was too intent on throwing them to remember to do that the other day. Anyway I quite like them as they are.

A rack of shelves semi-full of pots, eeee that feels better. Thanks for all the encouragement over the last couple of weeks. A dozen or so of those fat squared bowls, some at the same size as the ones I made last year and some from 1lb of clay so a little smaller.

Finished the decoration of the jug. The lettering reads

“Work like you don’t need the money,

Love like you’ve never been hurt,

Dance like nobody’s watching,

Sing like nobody’s listening,

Live like it’s heaven on earth.”

That’s how I found it anyway but I think it would read much better with four lines rather than the five but they are all fantastic sentiments so they stayed.

  1. Lovely jug, Hannah. And I like the video, being able to see the whole pot. You should talk while you’re taping. We’d all love to hear your description while you’re turning the pot.

That is a fine jug. I like that tree/plant on the back esp. Yes, you should talk or giggle or something.

Potting production hits prolific poetic purple patch. If the pace continues the Wood Burning Kiln will be ready by the end of Jan 09. I can already hear the sweet sound of greater spotted stihl chainsaw breaking the silence…………………..

I was going to have a bit of a natter when I did that but was actually stiffling a sneeze instead, didn’t want to spread my germs to you all. As for wood kiln, hmmmm, new problem, wood is very hard to get a hold of all of a sudden. Bugger!

  5. Those fat jugs are really delicious shapes. Liked the mugs too, yumbo!

and a bit of ONJ in the background now that made me laugh!!!

THAT IS AN AMAZING JUG!!! You could advertise the un-spouted pitchers as tankards for serious boozers.

It is amazing the variety / richness of interests blogees have: ultimate frisbee. Any takers for extreme potting?
