Designs Gallery Opening

Saturday morning saw the opening of ‘Together’ at Designs Gallery in Castle Douglas. Lucy and her staff have done a great job at displaying the many many pots that we delivered to them last week.

It’s lovely to have a show so close to home, not least because we can invite our friends to come and see it. Alex McErlain came all the way up from Chorley to open the show for us. He is a wonderful man, brought the pair of us close to tears with his words so he did. If you haven’t been paying attention to my blog in the past, Alex taught me at uni and has since been a great friend and support to me and to Doug.

Lucy at Designs Gallery has borrowed some furniture from the boys next door along the street, A.D Livingston & Sons who are antiques restorers and furniture makers. The pots look great displayed on their work.

This is a collaborative jug that Doug made and I decorated. It sold early on on Saturday morning.

So the show is on until November 8th, get there if you can. We sold lots of pots at the weekend but don’t fret, there are many more there and available. We are going to drop a few more in during the week too. Let us know what you think if you do get there, we’d love to know.
