I am barely home from the Pots and Food show in Derbyshire when I have to leave again to pop down to London to Ceramics in the City at The Geffrye Museum. The Derbyshire show wasn’t too great sales wise this year, a bit of a shame, I was feeling pretty rough too as I had a stonking cold last week, yes thank you dearest darling Gregor, and the show was in a barn so wasn’t entirely appropriate to my state of health.
The show at the Geffrye Museum for those that haven’t been is a lovely show. It’s pretty small scale compared to the likes of Hatfield and such and so is manageable from both a visitors’ and an exhibitors stance. Also the museum is just lovely. The Museum of Interiors, if you haven’t been you should find your way there at some point. Obviously this weekend would be a great time to go, but make time to go if you can’t be there this weekend.
I’ll have some more of the new wood fired pots there on display and it will be lovely to catch up with people there. So pop in if you can.
