A complete day of slipping

I spent the entire day bar an hour at the end decorating pots, the floor is now awash with splashed slip especially from the one moneybox that I dropped from about 2 foot above the very full bucket of beautifully sieved white slip to land with an enormous splash and a tidal wave of slip that might have reached Devon by now.

A quick but very big congratulations to my little sis who got a new job today in a place that she’s wanted to be for a while and will of course be brilliant at it. Well done, you deserved it.

I did decorate the teapots as you can see, just simple though, my wee birdies again, they do get everywhere. Then 15 jugs of varying sizes, 6 money boxes, 1 big jar, 3 big casserole dishes and 5 little jars. Then unpacked the kiln and managed to get it all dusted off and waxed and glazed, hope to get it packed tomorrow.
Phew! Busy old day.

I agree with Ron, great money boxes. Thanks for the info on the cake…weight. Will do and I’ll let you know how it goes and I’ll even post pics on my blog.I adore the large tea pots! Awesome, truly awesome. Full of hot tea, add lots of sugar and then pour over a glass of ice! Ahhhh. Now that is good.

Cake would go very well with the tea pot, I think you should make cakes to match the pots.A cake with every pot posted, my particular favorite would be Coffee & Walnut.

tea! over ice! heathen!I like the cake with every pot idea, maybe it should be every order over ‘x’ amount though or just wee fairy cakes with the mugs maybe.
