Throwing Pots But Not As They Should Be.

Flipping heck! That’s what I was saying this afternoon after I wobbled when trying to lift a rack of hard fought for jugs onto the shelf and they all wobbled too and one by one toppled splat splat splat onto the floor as I shoogled the rack this way and that to try to catch them before they went but to no avail.

What I did manage to do however, and so far have managed not to drop, was to slip four of these plates. I threw them some sort of life time ago and they have been sitting patiently waiting for this numpty to get her act together to do something with them.

So here they are with something done to them. It’s a bit different for me, it’s come from the mono printing that I was doing towards the end of last year, I was using paper resist there and it feels like it will translate into clay if I can find a way to make it my thing.

I started on the clear up proceedings this evening down at the workshop, in preparation for Saturday, 3 till 8pm if you fancy coming along to my open studio to help celebrate my ten years in business so far. There’s a lot of tidying to be done and sorting and I needed to clear some chaos today so I took a hammer to some old and not so clever finished pots. That felt better! More sorting tomorrow, biscuits baked tonight, will ice them tomorrow too. In fact come along before Saturday and help with the tidying if you wouldn’t mind…

  5. Sorry about the jugs, time slows down when stuff like that happens so can watch it even clearer.Good luck with the celebration.
